Reading about the case
Some things I wish I could hear you say again | Linked WeChat article ↗
The retrieval tool could not open the online article during preparation. The account here draws on the local article with the same title and the information supplied in the conversation. The anonymous case summary can be read on its own; we do not claim to have checked the latest online version. The article records personal thoughts about a product, not evidence of therapeutic benefit or an established market.
The account of the later-life course design, app development and use follows information explicitly supplied by the project creator. Group-chat screenshots were used only to understand the background. They are not copied into the course folder, shown, or transcribed into identifiable quotations. Testers' accounts of clinical cases and their professional profiles are excluded and are not used as endorsements.
References for the teaching design
The needs for autonomy, competence and relatedness informed the choice of topic, achievable steps and peer support. The theory is not used to diagnose any learner or to establish that this course has been effective.
Implementation Intentions: Strong Effects of Simple Plans (1999, original paper) ↗
Linking an anticipated situation to a specific action informed the action card's “If this happens, I will first…” prompt. The paper's effect sizes are not presented as classroom promises, and a planning sheet is not treated as a guarantee of success.
The teaching language and activities were designed by AHALab. The presentation does not list scholars' names or use quotations in place of learners taking action.
Looking at tools
REA official repository ↗ · replica-skill official repository ↗
On 2026-10-23, the README files and licence labels were read without making changes. The tools were not installed or run, and no third-party app was analysed. The course summarises the repositories' purposes without repeating their promotional claims. An MIT licence for a tool does not grant rights to a target app's content or data. Check the current version and terms before practical use.
Mapping foundational skills
Marble Skill Taxonomy (v1) · © Generative Spark, Inc. (Marble) · https://withmarble.com · licensed under ODbL 1.0 (database) and CC BY-SA 4.0 (content).
The mapping keeps the original English microtopic names and dependency identifiers. The Chinese explanations and tasks are AHALab's teaching applications. No standards text has been added, and no formal standards certification is claimed. Adapted mapping content follows CC BY-SA 4.0; the app's code is not made public with the course.
Self-reflection and ways of acting
MBTI official usage guidelines ↗: participation should be voluntary, confidential and suitable for the learner's age. A type does not stand for ability or the likelihood of success. This informs the boundaries of use in the course; it is not evidence of the course's effects.
About the 16Personalities model ↗: the NERIS model has five spectrums and differs from the official MBTI. Its questions and reports have not been reproduced in this course.
About the Everything DiSC approach ↗: the brand's own measures and research do not replace independent evaluation of every DISC version. No commercial assessment is administered in this course.
Situational Strategies for Self-Control(2016) ↗: the journal abstract proposes supporting self-control by choosing or changing situations in advance. It informs the design of starting conditions and surroundings here; no effect is promised.
TED2013 official live report ↗: a verifiable interview excerpt supports what was said at that time about first-principles reasoning and negative feedback. It cannot establish what caused someone's success. The presentation uses an anonymous adaptation of the method.
NVIDIA article: AI Is a 5-Layer Cake (2026) ↗: an optional teacher reference for examining system dependencies. This is a company's perspective, not independent market validation.
The supplied text about extreme self-discipline is treated only as a narrative lead to check, and is not reproduced in the course package. Unverified schedules, conversations, wealth figures and causal attributions are excluded from the fact pages. No verifiable original scientific basis was found during this preparation for the claim that images are “60,000 times faster than text”, or for its attribution to a named person. It is not included in the slides. Diagrams show relationships; no universal speed advantage is claimed.
The 19 diagrams and the behaviour reflection card are original AHALab teaching materials. The diagrams make no statistical inferences. The card has no psychological scoring or norms and is not a standardised measure. The graphics, explanations and text work offline without external psychological-testing sites.
Visuals and branding
The three backgrounds were generated with the built-in image_gen tool to depict writing, making and reflection. They do not show real people and are not records of teaching or user research. Full prompts are in image-prompts.json. The AHALab logo comes from the supplied brand asset; it was encoded and resized for the web, not redrawn.
The course follows the local AHALab PBL design system. zima-design informed the pages and branding; zima-express guided editing that preserves meaning. zima-html-ppt and viz-deck informed the presentation rhythm and speaker view; viz-charts helped select relationship and process diagrams. The course uses native SVG and browser animation, with no third-party CDN or external animation runtime. Printouts and separately exported diagrams are static.
