AHALab public materials — licensing notice

Unless a separate notice says otherwise, original public course text, worksheets,
editorial illustrations, and original 3D artwork in this edition are licensed under
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), to the extent AHALab
holds copyright or similar rights and has authority to license them.

Sharing, adaptation, translation and commercial use are allowed subject to CC BY 4.0.
Retain appropriate credit, supplied copyright/license/disclaimer notices, a source
link where reasonably practicable, and an indication of modifications. No use may
imply AHALab's endorsement, sponsorship, certification or official association.
These explanations do not add restrictions to, or replace, the standard CC license.

Exclusions and separate terms:
* Brand names, trademarks and logo files in assets/brand are not offered as reusable
  branding. Existing embedded logos may be retained only to identify the source of
  copied course materials; standalone branding/endorsement uses are not granted.
  Text attribution is sufficient; using the logo is not required.
* Third-party materials, external games, news videos, research images and student
  submissions are not automatically licensed by AHALab. Follow each source's terms.
* Natural Earth geographic outlines are public domain; AHALab claims no new exclusive
  rights in them. https://www.naturalearthdata.com/about/terms-of-use/
* Three.js and its included modules retain their own MIT copyright/license notice
  in assets/world/vendor/LICENSE.txt.
* AHALab-authored software in this release and its deployment toolkit is under
  SOFTWARE-LICENSE.txt (MIT), separate from the course-content license. Brand rights
  are not granted by the software license.
* DB-IP data, when separately installed, is used under its own CC BY 4.0 license and
  attribution. It is not part of this website archive.
* Ideas, facts, public-domain material and uses permitted by law are not made subject
  to new restrictions through this notice. AI-assisted artwork is licensed only to
  the extent relevant rights exist; this notice does not create absent rights.

Materials are offered as-is, subject to the official license and applicable law.
AHALab has not evaluated users' commercial services or promised their learning,
safety or business outcomes. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be
excluded. Users remain responsible for their own services and additional permissions.

Personal portraits and brand marks are excluded from the course-content license.
GitHub marks belong to GitHub, Inc. and identify the linked GitHub organization.
